ABOUT THE FINE ARTS COUNCIL OF TRUMBULL COUNTY


The Fine Arts Council of Trumbull County (FACT) was established in 1971 when six community organizations recognized the need for mutual support & coordination of the arts and cultural organizations. Our mission is "to improve the quality of life in Trumbull County, by fostering the arts."
FACT receives funding through corporate, foundation and individual donations.

FACT is always looking for volunteers and people willing to assist us in making the arts an integral part of everyday life in Trumbull County. If you'd like to carve pumpkins, greet people during our summer season or just help to spread the word, we can use your help. To volunteer, or for information about membership contact FACT at

Mission Statement:

To create and sustain a collaborative structure for the Arts and Culture community in the Mahoning Valley to effectively participate in our region’s revitalization and economic development and to positively impact our citizens’ quality of life.

Art and cultural organizations in the Mahoning Valley participated in an economic impact study  led by. Americans for the Arts. This study measured the economic impact of nonprofit arts and culture organizations and their audiences on our Valley's economy.

ROBINS PROJECT EXHIBITION

A team of designers and finance students from The New School in NYC will present ideas they have been envisioning for downtown Warren.  These concepts will be used as a springboard to discuss the future of the theater space and the Garden District, a neighborhood bordering downtown Warren.

The Robins Project will benefit from a portion of proceeds raised at this evening’s concert, featuring Juke Box Heros, the best of 1980s hits and Full Moon Fever, a Tom Petty tribute band.

 

COMMONS FEST: A Festival of LearnshopsSaturday,

August 1, 1-4 pm

Courthouse Square, downtown Warren

 

Dozens of hands-on booths allow citizens to make connections with local nonprofits, create art and learn about the change happening in our community and how to become involved.  Last year’s event included tie-dying, rock painting and pesto- making.  The possibilities for this year are endless!

 

THE UNSEEN CITY TOURSaturday, September 5th, noon-3 pm

Beginning at The Robins Theater, 160 E Market St., Warren

 

This self-guided tour will allow you to explore typically off-limit areas, or places you might simply over-look.  Attendees will be provided a map and be able to ask questions to our on-location guides, and volunteers throughout the city.  Last year, people enjoyed homemade ice cream and were allowed into the sacred Masonic temple.  Join out email list to learn more about this summer’s tour!
