Dialogue
Project - inspirational public art
The Dialogue Project was created by
artist Michael Garibaldi Frick and in 2006, while exploring freedom of
expression, the creative process
and the healing potential of innate wisdom, the Dialogue Project and it's crew
traveled across the United States, visiting over
9 diverse cities, including: Chicago, San Francisco, Washington DC, Denver,
Santa Fe, New York and Warren, Ohio.
The Dialogue Project
started out as a public art installation that consisted of nine vinyl screens
that are covered with thousands of inspiration
quotations on various themes. Now this public art project has become an award
winning documentary project.
On Friday and Saturday,
June 13 & 14 the Dialogue Project will return to Warren. The public art
exhibition will be on display in
Courthouse Park in downtown Warren from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. both days. On Friday,
June 13 the exhibit will be moved to the
Warren Community Amphitheatre. The display will be open for viewing from 6 p.m.
to 9 p.m. The Sammy DeLeon Orchestra will
perform a free concert at the Amphitheatre at 7 p.m. and a Ohio premier of the
Dialogue the movie will take place at the
Amphitheatre at 9 p.m. The exhibit and screening events are all free and open to
the public.
The documentary is total
of 88 minutes and it chronicles the cross county tour of this public art exhibit.
It offers insight into just how
public our public spaces across the county have become. Unfolding like a
narrative drama Dialogue demonstrates how profoundly
the unexpected can inspire. In moving interviews you witness how the wisdom of
the ages revitalizes lives - all against the backdrop
of America's ever-changing landscape. In addition we will have an opportunity to
see our community through the eyes of others.
The Documentary has an interesting storyline, original music and it celebrates
art. The film recently was awarded the Multi-Media
Award at the Garden State Film Festival.
