World renowned cellist Yo-Yo Ma, along with members of the Warren Philharmonic Orchestra and the Youngstown Symphony, will be offering a free performance at the Warren Amphitheatre on Monday, August 13th. The 45-minute concert will begin at 6 p.m., with an opening musical act at 5:30.
The concert will be followed by a panel discussion, “How Can the Arts – and All of Our Culture – Serve Our Community,” from 7 to 8 p.m., moderated by Deborah F. Rutter, president of the John F. Kennedy Center for the Performing Arts in Washington, D.C. Panelists will include William Mullane, an educator who is on the board of directors for the Fine Arts Council of Trumbull County and the Rev. Lewis Macklin II, pastor of Holy Trinity Missionary Baptist Church.
It will be a casual event with food trucks and beer sales and free admission.
